This is a cropped photo taken through the front window of a helicopter. Pretty good, considering. Especially because it shows just how abrupt the transition from horizontal canyon rocks to vertically aligned rock strata.

Over west from where we started is the Bright Angel trail (presumably you turn into a bright angel after you fall to your death) where the mules walk down. On the other side, there are no trees on the cliffs, but there are here.
